Read it. Don't believe it means much. Alot of "he might have meant", "assumed they wanted, but didn't say so" kind of stuff.

All rather petty really. But let's give it a whirl.

The photos leading the article are of Obama's inauguration and Trump's inauguration.
Obama's photo is obviously taken during the hour of the inauguration. It is a photo taken in the mid-day sun. You can see the shadow of the church and the Capitol dome is brighter on the south side  than the north side. The TVs in the mall are actively showing the inauguration. The mall is full of people. Obviously.

In the Trump photo there is no shadow cast by the church, the Capitol and pretty much all the buildings are lit from the foreground as in the sun is well past mid day. Well after the inauguration is over.

If you scroll down to the photo with Sean Spicer and look at the tv next to him it shows Trump walking out to the podium. In the shot you can see clear down the Mall. It too is full of people. More than Obama's inauguration? Unlikely, but from what Trump witnessed and  the photos being shown him of all the empty space, the photos being before or after the ceremony, the request, if I was in that position is to show the photos in the manner that represented what was and they witnessed.

The problem I got is with the media. They seek to undermine this guy and go to great lengths to do it. The Democrat leadership is in cahoots with the as well.

I fully believe that the Obama inauguration was far better attended than the Trump inauguration.  Barack Hussein Obama's election was historic, a first and for those reasons alone, many wanted to witness the event.  Trump wasn't as well liked by the Washington DC establishment so had fewer from the local draw to begin with.  And another white guy becoming President is not big news.  I'd bet that Hillary would have had more if she had been elected, as that would have also been historic and a first.
