Seems a swarm of bees moved in and set up housekeeping in one of my eaves of the house last week. Gad.

My parents had the same thing and it took a while to get the critters out of the eaves.  Those buzzers can get nasty if they are the African kind, so BEE careful!!!

We had the same thing happen last year.

Acoording to the "bee lady", If they just moved in, it is because they were evicted from their last home and are in the process of looking for a new one.  If they stay longer than 3 or 4 days, it means they like the place, and will stay.

It costs us $200 to have the "bee lady" take them away.

Gosh. It seems like with all the domestic bees diappearing they would pay you for them.

That problem is apparently "overstated" in the media.

No beekeeper would come for them, even for pay. They all had plenty and several even recommended who to call to exterminate them.

I called a combo beekeeper/exterminater...he couldn't easily get to the queen (you have to capture the queen to move a colony) so he dusted them. They be gone.

Bloggin it...

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A SWARM OF BUMBLE BEES  ;D

The question is not what you look at...but what you see...

Daniel Meyer

Heh heh...Dag, when are you going to paint hers to match yours? :D

Good idea... My wife have a yellow trike, so it`s actually a must. I`ll post a new picture when it`s done  ;)

Rats, day late and a dollar short - I would've come and picked them up.

I sold off all my hives a couple years ago, it was turning into a job. I've been looking for a swarm to pickup and experiment with a top bar hive (different from conventional boxes) for the back yard.
