Today's Memorial ride was a success, any way you look at it. If my count was correct, we had 27 bikes and at least 35 people at the Sea Pines Clubhouse. The meal was light as promised, and done very well. There were a couple of framed pix of Steve that people could sign, and a box of white rocks that people could write their names on, with the intent that they would be placed randomly around Steve and Sheila's house as a reminder of the many friends that Steve had. I saw more than one face that I hadn't seen in a while, and was happy that so many had ridden so far to attend. Well Done, Gang. As usual, I failed to take any pix, but I am sure that there will be a few posted in the near future.

A fine Memorial...

Thanks to those who coordinated this and thanks to Steve's Family who prepared for our arrival and then cleaned up after us.

Well Done :cooldude:

It was a great turn out with a nice ride to reflect on our friend's life.

It was an Honor to share wind with y'all in Steve's memory. He was smiling down on us and kept us all safe.        11hr day and 330 miles for me.   :cooldude:

Really nice to see such a great turnout for Steve's Memorial Ride. I wish I lived closer so I could join in for a fellow brother ride. I didn't know Steve but I imagine he must of been smiling down on all of you. Job well done.  :coolsmiley:

Sorry for the late response, but I was able to be there as well.  It was a nice turnout and a beautiful day.  I don't think I ever met Steve, but I hear he was a great guy.  I know he will be missed a lot.  I've been a member of the VRCC for a few years but have only attended a few rides/get togethers.  I'm also bad about remembering people's names.  I'll try to do better in the future and mingle more next time.  I'm shy by nature!  lol
