Saturday Mitch and I went to Monument Valley...

Then we rode, mostly on US-64, to Taos on Sunday. I think there's some very good parts
of 64 out here, we were in the middle of nowhere for 100 miles of it and went over
a snowy pass...

Monday I changed my front brake pads... I was suspicious of them and found an EBC
set in Durango. Sunday I heard the fronts squeek at some stops. I guess a lot of brakes
wear this way, but each of my calipers had one usable pad and one with just a hair's
thickness of pad material left.  I know what people mean now when they say EBC pads
are noisy, but they work real well. All these guys and more helped with the installation
and then we rode off to peer into the Rio Grande Gorge and to eat a good lunch... easy day...

Looks like a fun day, beats the crap out of working that is for sure and for certain.

Tried EBC. noisy is true, I stick with honda pads and rotors   Check the wear on those rotors after a few thousand miles if you can

Mike,

We rode in via Route 64 also... Nice and scenic, cool in spots, cold in others! I did manage a nap along the way at one of the pull-offs. Looks like you are keeping some mighty interesting company... I'd sure travel with that bunch, too! Every one a 'keeper'!!! Nice pic of Monument Valley! Curious place, no?

My experience with EBC pads is they work and they are cheaper than OEM. They are also noisy and they do grind down rotors more quickly... We do what we have to do in a given situation, though... I'd use them again if Honda pads weren't available...

See ya down the road...

Yup, I've always been pretty open like that... In fact if you're REALLLLLLY bored, every pic I've taken going back to the late 90's is at the parent link, broken down mostly by year:

LOL! What was in those cookies was a 16 year old who'd just ridden 750 miles on a Valk and was just totally outta gas... :)

Sorry to hijack Mike's thread, but Kali and I are down safe for the night in a cheap hotel in Memphis, Texas. Just under 300 to go 'till home tomorrow...

Still on the road, in Wytheville VA for the night. We helped a damsel in distress, took a little time.

We're  going to make a big push tomorrow, 12-14 hrs to home. We've been on the road long enough. Will be over 8000 miles by the time it's over.
