What happened!

I understand -  3rd hand  - that he and his wife had a normal morning, she left for work
and he passed before he left for work...

What a dynamic guy he was... seemed wide-open all the time... I think the first
time I met him was at a Cheaha... I followed him and a group off the mountain
on a ride through the woods on 2-lanes... I dropped out of the group after a
half hour or so of 80-100mph   :o ... I think he had a lot to do with The Electric
Bench... He'll be missed!

This will be a tough one to swallow.

You literally couldn't miss the feller in life, you can't help but miss him in death.

His brother (Herb) mentioned Eric wanted to be cremated. With that said, there will most likely be a ride scheduled in the future to spread his remains (similar to Thumper) at a chosen location.

Never met him which is my loss I'm sure. Today is all we have, prayers for the family and his circle of friends.

Eric was one of the best. I don't think he knew a stranger. This is a very hard one to swallow.

I LOVE that PIC!!!!!  :cooldude: :cooldude:

He was larger than life in every way.

He will be greatly missed.

A memorial ride similar to the one that we did for Thumper is an excellent idea!

Please keep us informed about the details, so that as many as possible can attend.

We just heard this morning of Eric's passing, both Petra and I are very saddened by the news. Eric was always up for a good time, always smiling and pulling some kind of prank. As he always like to say when you asked how tall he was, " I am 5' 19" a child at heart.
Eric will be sorely missed.

So sorry to read this.   I met Eric at the Spearfish Inzane,  and just chatting with him was truly a highlight of the trip.  He was such an honest guy,  super nice and funny.   He really helped put a couple newbies at ease,  and Cheryl and I very much enjoyed meeting and talking with him...

Condolences to his family and those who knew him well.

Eric will be missed and that is a under statement.  Any time you seen him he always had the smile on his face.
I remember that picture it was at morgantown Va.  and the reason he a empty ice cream cone is that Diana and I had gone to the ice cream shop just down the road from the motel for ice cream when we go back Eric ask where we went i told him he said that i hurt his feelings cause i didn't bring him back a ice cream cone.  So i when back and got him a ice cream cone and gave it to him he wanted to know where the ice cream was i told all you said was you wanted a ice cream cone you didn't say anything ice cream in it and that was when it all started.
Loved that guy and going to miss him a great deal

He will be missed. Always joking and always smiling. Loved that guy

Truly sad news... Wonderful guy who always livened-up any gathering in which he participated. Always cheerful, never without a big, broad smile, and sure to make anybody feel better by just being around him. We've lost a good one for sure!

I remember a few years ago at the fall color ride Eric talked my wife into sitting on Santa's lap and we sent the picture to our boys. 2 great people that have been taken from us entirely  to soon.  I'll see if I can dig up those pictures.

Yeah he got me with the bench too at the Bedford, PA gathering.

There's not many people that can shock the crap out of you and get you to laugh about it afterwards.

Sad news indeed. I met Eric twice...at Spearfish Inzane and then again in Morgantown. A real character for sure. That first time in Spearfish I think he had my Mrs a little worried...we had no idea who he was when we were sitting around in a group one night... he kept "threatening" to come to BC  and crash at our place.
Condolences to Eric's family and friends from the Mrs and me.
