Asking for some prayers for my daughter UPDATED

*** UPDATE***

Thank you one and all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and well wishes.

The surgery was successful, they had to remove one ovary in addition to the tumor which the surgeon said was larger than a football. They also removed the appendix as it was somewhat in the tumors grasp as well and they wanted to be safe than sorry. Initial testing indicated NO CANCER which clearly was our greatest concern. They still have additional testing to do on the tumor itself to conclusively rule out cancer but the surgeon felt that the chances of  them finding any malignancy in the samples was quite small.

She is going to live with us for a few weeks after released as she has a very large incision but she will ultimately be fine and feel much better with that thing out of her.

I thank you again, I absolutely believe in the power of prayer and I am always willing to both give and receive it. God is Good!


My daughter and only child Bailey is having some major surgery tomorrow due to a very large tumor on one of her ovaries. Navigating the frustrating and indifferent medical and insurance systems it has taken four months for this surgery to finally get scheduled and in that time it has grown from the size of a lemon to the size of a nerf football in the doctors words.

They have to basically cut her from hip bone to hip bone due to its size and of course cancer is on all of our minds. She is only 33 so that's in her favor but  its still pretty scary stuff. I absolutely believe in the power of prayer and I would appreciate anyone who feels so inclined.

Hang in there and wishing nothing but the best.  Too bad it could not have been done much much sooner lemon size is pretty big but now being football size is another story.

My wife when age 24 or so had a cyst or growth of some sort down there  golf ball sized removed thru surgery and turned out to be non cancerous.  Pray is the same for her as well.
