Hey, you know my cousins!  Lol.  You folks have a safe Christmas and New Year.  I'm looking forward to the next get together. I just hope I can make it.

Freeloads huh? OK....how about adopting me then, would only be from Jan-Mar each winter.  ;)

I still have two cats that like me when it is supper time. I wasn't sure if I was
ready for a new one after the events of last summer, but I sure did miss having
one that was my pal all the time.

I went out to a local no-kill place where they have little rooms set aside
for you to get to know any of the cats/dogs before you take them home.
I went there and played with Nala (the yellow cat in the picture) for a
half hour or so. And then went back the next day. After about five
visits I figured there was no turning back  ;)

Grumpy

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Yeah....outhouse!  ;) Sure glad those days are over, especially in winter when it's cold and you have three layers of clothes on to boot. You quickly learned at the first indication to make a beeline for the house with the qtr. moon cut in the door, cuz by the time you worked through 2-3 layers of clothes you were ready. Otherwise you were ready before you got through all those clothes. Keep in mind the only hand warmers were holding you hands over the other two holes. If not a 3-holer, you warmed one hand at a time. Aaahh...the good old days!  ;D

Nothing to do with the original thread at all but since you brought up outhouses and keeping warm John.  :)  My Dad told me that when he was a kid they only got one pair of shoes a year so most of the time he was barefooted.  When he would go out to the feed lot to feed the livestock in winter in order to warm his feet he would find a steaming pile from one of the animals and stand in it for some temporary warmth.  ;D
