99 Interstate with 44k original miles.  Should I change the timing belts?  20 years seems like enough time for them to dry out and crack?

What do they look like?

I felt the same way about my 98 tourer with less then 5000 miles on it.
The belts are cheap so I went ahead and changed them this said the old ones looked fine.

Last winter I changed my belts on my 99 I/s with little over 100k on her.   Belts were still look good.  Since I had very thing apart, just put the new ones on.

investigate the material they are made from. I've posted it yrs ago. they don't dry out. they are very unstressed as they are designed for industrial use.
there is a reason honda states inspect at 100k miles, no mention of yrs of service or age to change out even at 100k miles.   They are not the car engine belts that required 60k change out.
due to state and fed laws circa '95 anything to do with emissions and engine timing is one of those things must last 100k miles.
