How about just the right that they are allowed to stay here, for years, even get arrested for committing crimes while you are here, and let free, even though they are here illegally?? Yes,they have unalienable rights......once they come here legally.    They are welcome here if they come here legally.    They can not be allowed to come here illegaly.  By the letter of the law they are criminals.      Thus this thread as to "how are they above the law" when even the President of the US is held to the letter of the law.

The point is that the Founding Fathers defined rights as unalienable and NOT provided by laws.  Unalienable means they Always belong to ALL men, not just non-criminals.  Criminals , convicted criminals, do indeed lose many privileges.

Americans today tend to believe only American citizens have these "unalienable" rights.  That conflicts with what the Declaration says.

I agree that illegal aliens are criminals and our borders must be defended.  O2S asked about rights.  There is no right to enter the country illegally.
