Hello fellow riders, after receiving my 2000 Interstate back from the shop upgrading audio my fuel gauge keeps saying empty even when full.  I think this has something to do with it but i do not see where this plugs into if anyone can help? should hopefully be something i can reach without too many tools or removing things i hope. . .

Thanks  :cooldude:

Raise the tank up till you can see the blue receiving end that the plug shown in the pic will connect with. It's kind of buried under a plastic cone.
Make sure you connect the fuel line, vent line and vacuum line also.

And make sure to remove the inner petcock screw b4 u lift the tank!   A block of 2x4 will help,  and maybe a headlamp  and long needle noses.
Have you ever noticed when you're feeling really good,
there's always a pigeon that'll come sh!t on your hood?

I'd be more inclined to take it back and ask them to correct the problem they created. If refused, then Yelp is your friend....spread the word about their work, just be careful how you do it.

they are a custom work shop they put this nice new trunk on with all the speakers amps etc they are used to working on 98% harleys sadly but i will be going back to them in a week there is more work to do with led lights across the bike and headlights. i can wait until then as they may be forced by the city as a non essentials business to be closed for this corona virus but they will fix it no problem wish i could do it myself but if i gotta lift the tank up then ill just wait

Thanks everyone for your responses!

My brother my suggestion to you is go for a long ride and get that near 7 gallons
of gas out of the tank the fun way.
Then disconnect the gas valve and like was said lift rear of tank and with a good
flash light you will see where it will go.
Plus look what you will learn and you will have a Zinn moment with your ride.
          Make since ?
