Good afternoon to the Valkyrie community...just wanted to introduce myself to the group and take the opportunity to give a shout out to FlRider...Thank you for the pods and the info on timing belts...got those today and will be installing tonight or tomorrow.  A little bit about me...I live in Deltona, Fl and work for Yeoman's Honda in Daytona Beach; My rides are a 1999 Interstate and a 2001 GL1800 Goldwing...I just recently discovered this group and have found massive amounts of very useful info and would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to the membership.  If I can be of any assistance to anyone, feel free to reach out anytime... :)

Looks like you've had a good dose of the flat 6 kool aid already,  welcome.  I've always felt the rarest Interstate models that have the block stamp, made in USA, are very desirable,  does yours have it ?

I do remember that Terry, It was you that first learned me about the stamp. When you went to selling it I considered buying it from you for that reason and the fact she was a green/silver beauty that was exceptionally cared for. BTW Canestogas was the first place we met and you filled my head with Valk knowledge, Thanks

Sorry for the sidetrac Edgar.

No block stamp, Sixlow...unless I'm missing it...Love the bike, though...
I rescued it after it sat in the back lot of a Tampa dealer who wasn't even aware it was there for some 2 years...lots of sweat and late nights bringing her back to life but worth every minute of it...just got done installing an amp and rear speakers and I'm currently doing front forks, front and rear brakes including caliper rebuilds, timing belts (thanks again to Jack for the info on those as well as the badly needed radiator pods!!), front and rear tires (livin' on the Darkside) final drive and shaft service, oil change, plugs and K&N filter service...when I wanna be comfortable, I break out the Goldwing...when I wanna have fun, I leave the house with "Ride of the Valkyries" blaring from the speakers...hope every body has as much fun with their Valks as I've had with mine and that we may all be able to meet up soon and show those HD weenies what a really cool bike is all about...as the old ads used to say "Follow the leader...He's on a Honda"...thanks for all the welcome messages...glad to be aboard :)
