Ok, I got a weird problem, I changed my pulleys with rebuilt tentionners as others did. They are the same size as oem the problem is for some reason ( facing bike ) the left one as enough play to adjust but the right side I had to grind the inside of the sliding end so I can get the belt on the belt is still tight and making noise. I might have to grind again but getting close to the edge of the bracket. Did anybody have this problem with rebuilt pulleys or have a solution. thanks

Are you sure all teeth are seated in their notches and the belt is routed like this pic?

Yes, went riding a few times it's just I know it's tight because it's making noise. The left belt as play but the right is still a bit tight.

Grinding!!!!!  That sounds horrible.  I would have never brought a grinder into that equation. Did you remove the ignition pick ups?  Are you sure you have the correct belts?  Are the mounting bolts for the tensioner too tight so they are binding.

You are doing something very wrong.

Start over as if it is a new job. Do not short cut anything. Do not think you did it correctly. You have something WRONG.  Belt failure is engine destruction.

Ok, found the problem. I had backing plates that I took off goldwings and used those to fit the pulleys as spare. Well whent to check the valk plates and the wing plates and they are not the same. The slots were it slides are different so that is why the belt was tight. Everything is ok the belt went on no problem and adjustable. Thanks for your help guy's

I'm confused, 1500 Gold Wing and 1500 Valk use the same tensioners - part no 14510-MG9-008.

If i remember, the tesionners back plates came from a 1200 that  is why they are different. They look the same but there not.
