need Tips to start a Blower bike in cold weather?

Weird weather this year down to 22 degrees at night and up to 60 degrees in the day. This has created a problem for me starting my cold blooded blower bike. When I pull it out of the cold garage I have tried everything choke no choke gas no gas but end up cranking and cranking until it finally fires up.

Do any of you blower guys have cold starting problems in cold weather and have you figured out how to reduce the cranking when cold?

Hey Pvan , too bad there isn't a way to shoot some starter fluid down the throat to help you get your beast started easier ..... are you sure the choke linkage is adjusted and working allright ... I'm not familar on how the carb and choke linkage is set up on a Valk .... but it must be similar to car or am I out in left field .... anyway hope it warms up up real soon for ya .....

pvan? i was hoping you could give us this answer lol!!! well i just so happen to be going off the Island and gonna try after 3 months to get mine started  ??? i have a new battery with me after 8 years i guess it is time, yep no fun to start when COLD, Up here in New England in the 30's i find that full choke always, and about 10 full pumps and wing it over and and let it sit for about a couple of minutes to let the fuel run into the intake, and then about 5-10 more pumps and lean the bike from side to side to let fuel get into each bank, and even found that, try to point the bike downhill so fuel can get to the front cylinders, and after all that try a few more pumps and BACK FIRE LOL!!! she slowly starts up, i really think that the rear 2 cylinders flood and the 4 front are starving, but it is a long way and large plenum to fill. but hey once ROSIE gets going there ain't no stopping her she is loud and obnoxious hence the name? TV star

No wonder the girl is being difficult... naming a thing of beauty after that hog?  The horror... the horror !!

Get a heater and point it at the bottom of the motor and let it run for a hour.

Makes a world of difference when it comes to that first start of the day.

Thanks guys I was also wondering like Ricky says heating it up first... I am going to try this because Like Fastsix says the manifold pools fuel to only a couple holes and this can not be healthy to a totally cold engine, thanks again

Pump it till it starts. It needs a bunch of fuel to get it all the way to the spark plugs.
I used to pump it 3-4 times hit the button, repeat as needed.

Its about 50 here in houston. Still have trouble starting cold. was afraid of flooding. must get over normal un blown bike think.
