The old bike was running and it suddenly quit, now won't start. While poking around I noticed the kickstand light isn't on although it is on the sidestand. Plus, no fire at the plugs. I had the center cover out but the bank angle sensor is installed correctly per the arrow(and experience). I'll be tracing things back to the ICM and wondering what wire feeds voltage to it. I've not delved into it much at this point, it was late and I had a football game to win. GO PACK!  I have to do that now since I moved to Wisconsin.

Sorry, but I'm going by memory, it's been a few years now since on the bike.

Isn't yours an IS? Only a neutral light, no kick stand.

Get the bike into neutral. It should start even with the side stand down.

Then the other safety devices, the clutch lever switch.

Kill switch.

Shake/wiggle the ignition switch. IS, try the aux position.

If I'm wrong and it's a converted std/T, then there is the starter switch problems. Is the head light on?

If the problem is any of the security interlocks, they are all in series on the bl/wh circuit that goes to the ICM. Check for voltage on that wire; if none it's one of those devices. For expediency I might use a sharp probe into that wire right close to the ICM, then when done put a little liquid tape on the tiny hole.
I missed the game.  I'm not following football at all lately (the BS with kneeling & "black anthem" has PO'd me), but I used to try to see Packer games.

Does the Motor turn over with the start switch?
I believe that the interlocks are in the ground circuit for the starter relay. The On side of the KILL switch supplies power to the Coils and the Start Switch.

Found it, another broken wire that apparently was crimped too tight when applying the pin to go into the 9 pin connector. Hate stuff like that, I had another one just like it a few days ago and both were found accidentally. I was moving wires around in the headlight bucket and suddenly things worked, still had to pin it down as to which wire but figured it was something applying power to the coils. I was right, kind of a pain cuz releasing the pin inside and pulling a bit on the wire just caused the wire to break loose leaving the pin in the connector. So...deep breath, shut off the lights and go make a sandwich. Grabbed 40 winks then went back out and fixed things.
