2 front cylinders not firing any sugestions.

Longest distance from the petcock. They starve first if there's any issues. More info would help. Might be clogged low speed jets.

Could be gas. Could be electrical. Probably not spark plugs or air supply. Open the drain plugs and see if they are wet. It would be slightly unusual for just those two (one on each side) to be clogged but I suppose anything is possible. A good dose of chemtool B-12 might help.

Cylinder 1 & 2 get their juice from the most forward of the three coils. It's rare one goes bad but it has happened. I don't know what it is but there must be a way to test a coil.

Good luck

I would check the primary leads to the coil.  Had a friends bike not firing and it was one of the primary leads on the coil had become disconnected.

I would definitely check the 1/2 coil  wiring first, especially if you have had the tank off or been poking around under the front left of the tank. Check the black/white wire to verify connected & for 12 VDC when the switch is on. The yellow/white goes back to the ICM.

If your stating cylinders 1 & 2 on each side are not firing yea check coil pack.

Here's a good explanation of how the wasted spark ignition on our Valks works.

If on the other hand your saying front 2 cylinders as in 1 & 3 or 2 & 4  I'd be checking fuel delivery / carbs.

Good point Timbo1.

So given this picture of the cylinder layout, are you talking about 1&2 as the front 2 cyclinders, or 1&3, or 2&4?

I seem to remember something about switching the coils around. just like light bulbs.

Did you replace fuel shut off? I know you wanted one that takes stock chrome knob

If you have recently had the tank off you may want to check the control wires (feed and ground) on the coil that is on the front left side of the frame.  This should be for the cyl. 1&2 if my memory is correct.

The other two coils (in the void by the ignition switch) are apparently firing so it sounds like the pickups are good.  You may have a problem with the ECM not sending a signal to the coil to fire, you need to get to the coil to verify this as well.

If you want to verify voltage at these wires you can do it with a digital voltage meter and a "peak or direct voltage adaptor".  You can build a peak voltage adaptor very inexpensively with some off-the-shelf parts.  There are lots of you tube videos that show you how to use the adaptor.

Here is a link to a youtube that shows you how to build an adaptor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juhri_NxQcQ  or you can get one for about $50 off of Amazon.
