Rick would give you the shirt off his back. The last time I saw him we rode together to Tom "Sealskinners" funeral, many of the old group was there. Fun guy to be around. He'd always light up a room, light up a crowd, or light up his tires. Great contributor to the Valkyrie community.
RIP Rick

TJ... Did he move to West Virginia a few years ago?
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

Wow sorry to hear this. Rick was one of the first people I met in the VRCC board. I was in touch with him when he was recovering from his accident

I know he had big plans to take his RV around the Country and get away for a while.
Peace Brother  :'(

John Schmidt

Went riding with him one time when he stopped by the house in Winter Park. At a stop light on 436, a 6-lane highway, we had pulled up next to a trooper who recognized him. He asked if he still had those fire-breathing pipes, Rick said yes and was asked to prove it...so he did. All the cars around started honking and whooping it up. Only a short blast due to traffic but the trooper got a kick out of it. I told him the bike sure seems to run great even under those conditions...he laughed and added "yeah, but the mileage kinda sucks!" One of a kind guy, Rita always got a big hug when he was around.  :cooldude:

I never had the pleasure to meet Rick, but I'll bet the tire companies loved him.  RIP Rick.

That video was a hoot!  I also never had the honor of meeting Rick, but his immortalized antics just gave me a big ol' grin!  R.I.P. Trick Rick.  I've heard the gas flows free and tires last forever at the Big Rock Candy Mountain.   :cooldude:

Another thing about his bike other than the volcano and the flames was that he had turned the carbs out instead of in.  I thought that was cool.

You're right Terry, totally forgot that. I suggested I might try it once and he told me to forget it, said getting the linkage done right, the plumbing & a couple other items I don't recall just didn't make it worth the trouble. Sure looked cool though.  :cooldude:

I never met Rick, but from what I am seeing here, he must have been a great guy.  It's sad to hear of anyone passing away, but a member of a great group of guys makes it even harder.  RIP Rick.  M sure you will be missed by many.

:cooldude: Sounds like a pretty cool guy. After seeing the video he definitely could handle the Valcano. I wish I could of met him, sorry that I didn't. Thanks for making me aware of Rick, RIP.  8)
