Going Darkside

I think going with a 195 is a good (safe) idea.  I've had 2 205's.  One fit just enough clearance from the swing arm so it would not rub.  The next 205 did rub.  The 195 fits without any worries.

195/75 is optimal - narrow for good handling and tall for better mileage & top speed, lower rpms at speed. This tire has specs almost identical to the Austone taxi tire which is not available anymore.  Also made in Costa Rica not China & available at good price.  Free shipping.  Fits with stock size shocks w/o clearance issues.

  Got a couple more questions. Some of the tires are not available in 195 size but are 205.  How much difference will it make using the 205 instead 195? 195/75 has also been suggested. How much difference it height at the seat will this one be? I do not need or want more height because of 30" inseam.

I've had both.  The height difference is not noticeable. I have a short inseam also.  The only problem I had was the 205 rubbing the swing arm on the right side.  You won't notice this issue until the wheel is installed, then it's too late.   I advise going with the 195.

      With the exception of 1 Austone taxi tire I've been on 205-60-16 fer awhile now. Did the nut cage mod and no/none/nada swing arm issues. RIDE SAFE.

Mark, I finally got around to changing tires front and rear, the Transforce you recommended is incredible.. it feels like the gears I've been missing are now there.

Gonna fuel up soon and will probably net ~34 mpg, it's super nice rolling along the freeway and not having to get to 4000 rpm too often. It also throws me around much less than the Zeetex did on slow bumpy areas, I'm running at around 38 psi for now.. feels pretty good.
