I just put Kuhmo Ku31 195/55/16's on my Mini Cooper, they are great so far, and
run-flat. I've always wondered what would happen to a run-flat tire on
a motorcycle if you get a flat. I've had two 3-inch screws in one of the Mini's tires
before (running Dunlop run-flats then) and couldn't even tell the tires was flat (and
it was, too)...

My last tire, one on now, is a Good Year Alliance Triple Tread and so far I really like it......  I'm running 36# in it.

Lot better braking and holds pretty tough in the curves....

I can now snap 2nd gear at full throttle and she will not spin the tire.  Avons would leave about a 12" to 16" black mark on dry pavement or asphalt.

Wizard blew a valve stem last summer in Mich while running down the interstate.  Once he knew what was wrong, he started to carefully ride it to get it fixed.  Ended up cruising about 60+ miles, if I recall correctly, at 70 mph with no air pressure in his car tire.

Can't do that with my Avons, for sure.  But I'm just not quite ready to make the switch yet.

Which ever number I got from Daniel Meyer is what I ordered, the box came in Saturday.  So next time we change any Valk tire, we're ready with the good valve stems.

Last summer's trip found us with not one, not two, but THREE bad valve stems between us.  I started losing air in my front tire about 50 miles from home, and had it changed the next morning.  Wizard had to have both done while he was in Michigan. 

In fact, when we head out for the next trip, he's gonna have four of those new stems in his saddle bag, just in case history tries to repeat itself.

When I called the importer of Yokohama tires which I wanted to try (could not find a dealer with the Cooper Zeon 2XS tires here in Norway) he asked me if I was a crazy who would use a car tire on a motorcycle. When we talked he began to be interested, and it ended up with that he recommended me to try Kuhmo KU31 because the rubber was softer and drainage were improved.
And the best part is....  I got the tire for free for testing!  
The price for this tire is $286.00 here.
Less half the price in USA I suppose?

Hey Dag i am picking my CT up tonight went with the Goodyear Triple Tread 205/60/16 ... it just bugged me that i had not tried it all else fails i have a brand new Cobra hanging on the garage wall ..lol

I run that brand on my Chevy Trike.   The tread does not last very long.    Probaly like on 5 or 6,000 more than a motor tire....

I paid about $700.00 for four.

I used to get 20,000 miles out of the OEM Dunlops, I'm only 5,000 miles into my kumhos, they
have a better wear rating than the Dunlops, I hope they last longer.
