I dodged a big bullet

I've been fighting with vermin in my wood garage for months. I bought some poison which seemed to have good reviews on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Neogen-Flavored-Weather-Resistant-Rodenticide/dp/B005BUZL2Q/ref=sr_1_8?crid=3HWTMPL4UL4MU&keywords=Neogen+Ramik&qid=1677784841&s=lawn-garden&sprefix=neogen+ramik%2Clawngarden%2C110&sr=1-8

That with a multitude of killing traps seemed to be winning.

Hoping not to curse myself. I haven't had anything in a trap for a few weeks and the poison balls haven't been taken.

Maybe they've all been too warmly ensconced in their dens? I don't know.

A previous owner had fitted some LED accent lights which stopped working. I have 2 remotes for the lights. I changed the batteries but no joy.

The distributor was very helpful and sent me pdf of operating instructions and asked for a photo of the control box so they could send me some new remotes.

I asked the seller if he knew where the control box was and I found it and photographed it.

I ALSO FOUND DOZENS OF POISON BALLS!!!!!

So lucky the vermin hadn't decided to chew on the wires. I'm hoping they don't come back to find their food supply. I'm tempted to put a poison sachet in their place and I will be placing some traps around the bike as a precautionary measure.

Knowing it's a GL1800 based bike, seen the condition of the air filter lately? Evidently they really love to crawl up in there on this model of bike...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I'll be putting in a new one Tuesday. Could be like opening the tomb of Tutankhamen  :cooldude:

Hope you don't find peanuts... or worse... ;)

Psychotic Bovine

You should look up Shawn Woods on Youtube.  He reviews tons of vermin traps and is a huge knowledge base for all things vermin.
He did a review of a self resetting trap that is powered by pneumatics (co2).  It can rack up a huge pile of rodents..

I have had great luck at the farmhouse with bucket type traps. In the winter I use anti freeze instead of water. I have had as many as 12 in just a couple of days.

i just use 99 cent old school mouse traps with peanut butter.  A few years ago I had a huge bout with voles in my garden tearing everything up with tunnels/holes all over.  I setup 2 five gallon buckets upside down by the hole with basic mouse traps/peanut butter and within a few days checked them.  I think I got about 12 that year and luckily last year not many holes all over my garden.

I am tempted to pick up a couple cans of this stuff to try out. What I don't know is the consistency of the product, so if nothing else, I'd spray it into a cloth and wipe down metal surfaces if spraying is too messy. Sounds promising. I have used NHOU in the past to rustproof a truck, but that was years ago. They were using Fluid Film then; now they have their own proprietary stuff.    https://nhoilundercoating.com/product/mouse-out-2-cans/
