So I just realized my back turn signals work but they arent staying on while the motorcycle is running. I'm pretty sure I remember them working before. Any ideas on where I should start checking? Thank you.

Do you mean, you expect them to work like running lights, but in the back? That would take a mod to the wiring.

oh, so they should be off at all times except when they are blinking? Sorry, total noob. I've done a ton of work on the bike but I thought they stayed on all the time in the rear....

Rear indicators are yellow so they remain off, DOT thing... no yellow running lights on the rear of of vehicle (or something like that).

Just for our benefit, if you put which model in your signature line, it would help with some subjects, like wiring questions.

Ok, thank you for the info. I have a 97 valyrie 1500c.

Some state codes require red lens for running lights in the rear. That's via some arcane reason that if your bike had amber running lights in the rear, other drivers might mistake the rear of the bike for the front of the bike. The problem I found with red lens is that they're too dark red. At least for the single screw type lens.

OK. Just so we don't have to ask in your future posts, go to your profile settings and put it in the signature there; it will then always show on all your posts.

They're all 1500 Valkyries, we need to know which model; Interstate, Tourer, or Standard. If it's a '97 model then it won't be an Interstate.

Well, if there is no letter after the C, then it's a standard. Assuming, of course, he just didn't include the next letter.

There is a mod you can do that will make the rear turn signals red running lights then flash yellow when you activate the turn signal switch. The company was / is Electrical Connection in Knoxville TN. (865-219-9192). I did mine a few years ago and its works great!
