My rebuild finished at last

In September 2009 I bought a neglected 1996 Bumble Bee in the UK. I had it shipped to Spain in October and over the last 6 months I have rebuilt it and replaced a lot of the chrome or had it re-polished.

Today I got the last parts bolted on and took it for a ride around the block. Now all I have to do is get it inspected and registered and I can join the rest of you riding the dragon.

Thanks guys for all the comments, it was a labour of love and I learnt a lot as I went along.

A brief run down of what I did:

Replaced headlight bucket, rear fender rails, both rocker covers, carb runner covers, exhausts and foot brake pedal . De-smogged. Rebuilt the forks. Polished both wheels cam belt cover and forks. Repainted the front mudguard. Rebuilt the front callipers polished the master cylinders and triple trees and the switch housings. Repainted the swinging arm and the pumpkin. Wired for spot lights and hazard lights. Re-covered and re-studded the drivers back rest. Various other bits and pieces that I have forgotten now.  

It wasn't quite as bad as the $2000 one on the other post but not that far off. A lot of parts came from Pinwall and eBay so they can be brought back at a reasonable price.  It stands me less €'s than a UK bike in good condition and a lot less than a Spanish bike but more than a US one but I am still happy and can't wait to start riding.

COLIN nice bike. it looks very south of spain ,flamenco dancer.   in the sixties  we traveled there frequently, it was nothing but dirt roads , trucks and lots of small motor bikes. 
of course you know we re all coming to visit you real soon ---
