Motomama's father died Sunday

For those of you who don't read Facebook, Motomama's father died yesterday morning.  It was not completely unexpected as he had just a few days prior been placed under hospice care but it happened much sooner than was anticipated.

She was pretty much a wreck yesterday but today she is better and working with his wife to make arrangements.

Ah.....not easy losing a parent. Friend of mine lost his dad a few days ago as well. Like I said to him, there's nothing anyone can say that helps either .... even though we try. Condolences to both of you.

It's never easy to deal with even when we know it's coming.

Condolences are never enough but, that's pretty much all we've got. 

Leaning on others and accepting their assistance and strength helps us get through such times.   
Being there for her and family is important and I know Carl has what it takes to help her through this trying time.

That's why memories are so precious! My father has been gone for 12 years and still old memories pop up that make me smile, and rejoice that I had such a great Dad. I'm sure her memories will comfort Lori as the days ahead roll by.
