The Hillbilly Highway is at the same hotel as last year (Best Western Wise, VA) I just called and booked rooms, they are going through renovations on the 2nd floor this year. Dates are May 24th,25th, checkout on the 26th.

I did not get a quote on the rate. Assuming it's 90-100$ seems to be the going rate in the build back better economy

Cool, I put in a vacation request with the boss to once again attend this important event! Hope to make it,  we sadly missed last year due to family matters- the beautiful T- Bird bike will doubtfully be road worthy in time, so GiG & Sis are likely to cage it...

I did not get a quote on the rate. Assuming it's 90-100$ seems to be the going rate in the build back better economy   

Booked my room yesterday.

I didn't hear the total but she did say that she was adjusting the rate for the group.

I just assumed that she was adjusting it down.

Unfortunately I lost my last Grandma and will not be attending the Hillbilly Ride this year, as I most likely will be heading to Illinois to attend the services this weekend

Ya'll have some fun, friendly reminder do not re-book rooms for 2025, we will be relocating the Hillbilly Ride to a new destination for next year.

I've seen that a few have opted not to come this weekend for various reasons.

Looking at the forecast there is a chance of thunderstorms throughout the weekend but it isn't supposed to be a total rainout.

I am wondering though, Who is coming?

Unless, the forecast does become a total washout I still plan on being there, but it isn't going to be much fun if I'm there all by myself.

So, if you're still planning on coming how about giving a shout out?

Sorry to hear this, I was looking forward to seeing you guys.

I didn't put the weather kiosh on it, I was just repeating what some others have said.

I'm keeping an eye on the forecast but so far it looks like normal summertime stuff, cloudy with a chance of passing thunderstorms.

My current plan is to head down on Friday and if it turns out that I'm all by myself, I'll probably head home sometime Saturday.

Sorry I'm not making it Mark.  I've been to several, and it's generally the closest group ride to me there is.

I have things going on right now, and in a few weeks a buddy and I are taking a longer jaunt (NC-TN).

The heat and rain have started up here.  So much for Spring.

Honestly I  have  200+ more plants to get in the  ground  Sat.. 
If  the  weather  had  been better  last weekend ( to have  it  all prepped) ,
I  might have  gotten all my plants  in Mon - Wed..
That was  my plan.. Till the weather  didn't  change soon enough for  me  to till the  gardens a few  more  times.. It was  still a  tad  heavy to do it on Monday.
   And  June  as  soon as  the  weather  break for  5 -7 d of  sun  ,It will be  hay making  time.
And  can't  be  in the  garden then..

With just 3 of us there we didn't take very many pictures.

We did however spend time talking, riding and eating.







We had lots of good conversation Friday and Saturday.

Got in a good ride on Saturday and found some good food at a roadside stand.

The weather held out for us for the weekend.

I made it within 4 miles of my house before the skies opened up on Sunday.

This was after a long and meandering ride home, had I taken a more direct path I would've avoided the rain.

But, where's the fun in that?
