Final drive oil

Honda recommends Hypoid gear oil SAE80
I am having trouble finding this designation, however
SAE80W90 is mostly mineral, recommended for (older types) final drives
75W90 is synthetic and does not specifically state for final drives
Which type should I use in our final drive?
And can I mix SAE80 with 75W90?
I am from abroad, so specific brands are no good to me, just the specs and designation

Not that familiar with European brands other than Motul... but I am running a Valvoline 75W-90, It does say gear oil on it...

You need synthetic hypoid gear oil. There's a specific gl rating that will be on the bottle. I think it's gl5 but I'll post a picture on this reply in a minute as soon as I find it

I ordered Liqui Moly, a well known brand over here
It's mineral and meets or exceeds all specs, I don't want to take any risks with a final drive

    The optimum viscosity is not known
    Varying loads and speeds exist
    Varying ambient temperatures exist

Very interesting and good reading.

I am getting a bit confused
Honda sells hypoid oil SAE 80W90 (specifically for GW final drives). But I cannot find its VI anywhere
I just bought mineral 80W90 hypoid oil. It has a VI of 105 and API GL5

While the synthetic 75W90 has a V1 of 185
I live in moderate climate conditions and seldom ride in freezing conditions nor above 85 degrees temperature
Internet tells me that by VI, 75W90 complies better to SAE80 than SAE 80W90
I now tend to believe that my 80W90 is not OK for my final drive, it is also thicker when cold.
So I will replace the 80W90 with 75W90 for now.
