Stuck I. A parking lot. Key won't go all the way in and won't turn on. Any ideas. I feel like forcing it but if I break it it prob won't turn on either!

Had a similar problem getting my key in and once in, it would not turn.    Went to a local auto store and got a canister of lock graphite, lub and twenty minutes later was riding again.   Hope this helps.

It's the little door that flips open when you insert the key. Get a thin ice pic paper clip or tiny knife blade and coax it out. It's not that hard

This. The metal rectangle covering the slot the key goes in is spring loaded. Over time the spring can fail or the metal door break and little bits get lodged in the space the key goes. Get a paperclip, thin ice pick, SOMETHING to fish out the bits and you should be good to go...

Thanks, I had a tiny Jack knife in my tool bag. Used it to slide it open got the key to turn. When I got home I sprayed it with CRC and it turns smoothly.

Thanks to all who replied!!
