MOP and Kury 4050 on an Interstate

I have Cobra Floorboards, but I don't have any highway pegs. I was thinking of going with the 4050 because they were similar to the Kuryakyn switchblade on my dads gl1800, but it seems like most people are preaching about the Mick O Pegs. I haven't really seen very many photos or a video of them in action on a valkyrie. Do they ever get in your way?

They got in the way of me moving my feet from the pegs to the highway pegs.  I have ISO-Wings and a peg Relo kit.  For me there wasn't much difference with my pegs dropped 1" and 1" forward to using the MOP's so I sold them.  A lot of people swear by them, their driver pegs may be in the stock position and that would make for a greater difference in foot placement.

I've got Kury's dually pegs on Rattlebar's relocation kit.  I've had Kury's 4050s and MOP.  I much prefer MOP.  They're more comfortable to me then the 4050s.

I have cobra's floorboard kickshifter and MOP and highways switchblades mounted on the crash bar.  The highway position is forward of the bars,

IMHO for my size 12-13EEE feet I would have prefered these ISO's in stead of the floorboards as sometimes my heel (ok all the time) can still hit against the front of the boards while on the MOP's but the MOP takes all the stress off your lower back on those long rides so I dont really mind.

If you have an interstate you can dremel the little scoop and move the MOP's an inch or so forward to gain extra room also if needed

I have to 4050s and love them.  between the stck pegs and the 4050s, I have 3 foot positions and have done 13 hour days with no problems.  A very good product.

The only glitch I had was tightening the brachet that mounts to the bottom of the engine guard.  I eventually had to place rubber strips between the engine guard and the mounting bracket to stop the "slipping".  It's been 6 years now and no issues.

My I/S has the Rattlebars peg relocation kit and it does make a significant differnce. I had Kurys on my crash bars but I felt like my legs were spread to far apart. I tried the MOP's and I was hooked.
Yes they are not cheap, but they offer the best comfort for the money. My I/S wasn't cheap either and I bought it for comfort also. The MOP's do compliment any I/S,....or any Valk for that matter.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think that I am going to go with the 7966 or the 4050's for now until I can actually sit on a bike with MOP. I am just a little worried about feet getting tangled up in them etc. Will the 4050's drag before the pegs? I mean the mounting block and offset piece? I know on my Dad's 1800 that his Kuryakyan's only drag the pegs if they are folded down. It is kind of a speed indicator lol. You can flip them up and then you are fine. If I do the 7966 I would mount at 9 and 3 to prevent dragging.

The MOPs are spring loaded and you will not get "hung up" by moving your from your pegs.
