Pingle on/reserve position?

Been too long since I've looked at the Pingle on my tank. So long I've forgotten the position of the control for on/reserve. I know full forward is off, but which is reserve...clear to the rear or the halfway point. In recent months I've had the tank off a couple times and never thought to look. Soon as I find out the lever positions, I'm going to mark it on top of the triple tree with black paint. I know...sounds dumb, but humor the old guy.

If forward is off then to the rear is full on and 1/2 way is reserve.

My Pingel reserve doesn't give much. Maybe a 1/2 gallon?

one I have on the self is towards the carbs is "Off", towards rider is "On". Ninety degrees from either is "reserve". to the stop in both directions is fully on or off.

Dave, I was aware of that issue when I first got the Pingle years ago. I laid the OEM unit and the Pingle next to each other on the bench, measured the difference in length of the pickup tube. Went to a shop that specialized in model cars, airplance, etc., bought a foot of fuel line and soldered an extension onto the new Pingle to match the OEM. My reserve has been nearly the same as OEM since then. The only problem was the OEM filter on the pickup doesn't fit the extension so I had to put in an inline filter. Never have had a problem with it since.
