Sherry had a full day packed with lady activities, today. So that left me free to do whatever. I wasn't sure if the WX would clear today for a ride. But thankfully it did.  :cooldude:

I took a ride to the General Store in New Salem, MA on the south-bound side of U.S. route 202. I've ridden past it a bunch of times, but never stopped.

On the plus side, the Store a had a good selection of signature sandwiches. Plus you could also build your own. I ordered the Greenwich signature sandwich. It had Sliced Maple Honey Ham, Genoa Salami & Provolone Cheese with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Pepper Relish & Hoagie Dressing on a 6" sub role. It was good. The drinks and snacks selections were also very good.

On the downside, there's no indoor bathroom available for customers. After about a 2 hour ride to get there, I was disappointed in that. Thankfully they had two porta-potties outside that were sufficiently clean. Also, there's no indoor tables and chairs for eating. There's nice round metal picnic tables under a tent outside. Overall it's a good stop on a warm WX day.

Also ridden by there often, is that the place the two riders we met at the ice cream stand told us about?  Not having a restroom to use definitely sucks. Glad you got out.

Always enjoyed stopping at a general store out in the country...Usually some good homemade grub..
Porta potty is better than a tree or tall grass... ;D

Wow! Those pictures bring back great memories from the epic Fort Kent ride we did in August 2020 in the midst of COVID. What a great time with lots of laughs. Here's some more pictures from that wonderful ride. Enjoy!  8)
