So sorry for your family's loss, Bonzo. A civil suit for wrongful death may have some value here. It's been my observation over the years that people driving Volvos operate their vehicles with less regard for others, probably a result of the Volvo emphasis on the safety of their products, the "drive however badly you want, you won't get hurt in OUR cars" syndrome. Please take care.

Just because no additional charges have been filed doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. Fatal accidents usually require more of an investigation than what happens immediately at the scene.

Been there and seen it happen.

The County Attorney makes the final call on what evidence we wrote up.  Not enough to convict, no charges filed later.      Enough evidence for a win in Court, charges were filed.......
