Met up with two buddies one on an 1100 Sabre (Squealy) and another on a 750 Magna (Pat) and Pat's buddy from the K of C on an Ultra Classic.

We rode 135 south from greenwood, thru Morgantown into Bean Blossom with the intent of heading on SR45 (Indiana's BEST MC Road IMO) to Bloomington.  SR45 CLOSED!!  Crap!  So we headed into Nashville, and then south on 135 (Also GREAT Indiana road) into Story.  Stopped at the Story Inn for chips and 2/4 had a beer.  Then on south on 135 to SR 58 west.  Then North on SR446 back to bloomington, over the Lake Monroe causeway.  Then SR46 back to Nashville and home.

Almost made it too.  Made it to north of Bargersville... when the skies opened up, and we all had to ride 3 miles in a MONSOON!!   :o :-[ :tickedoff:

When I pulled into the garage and came into the house... my 3 year old thought it was a riot!!  Especially when I took my boots off and POURED them out into the kitchen sink!

Oh well.  I knew my new-to-me IS was going to me my rain bike... and I think I have finally found her name.   "Mallard".  After all it's green, and I guess likes swimming in puddles!!

A Magna and a Valk, my two favorite bikes.

Down in Southern Indiana you have route 62 which I recall has some interesting features.  For seven years in the late 70's to mid 80's I worked a couple weeks per month at the Marble Hill Nuclear plant which is about 35 miles North East of Jeffersonville on that route.  I made that run daily from my hotel in Jeffersonville to the plant site.  I remember it as interesting with some twists and turns as well as grade changes.
The trip is short,
enjoy the ride,
