I finished installing last night.  Headed out to get a few miles in.  Rode about 20 last night, but need more before posting my opinion.  Thanks for all the information and advice.  Shoptalk and tech board was a tremendous help is changing the tire, bearings, 0-rings, etc.  Al

What Make and size did you go with just installed a 205/60 Triple Tread Goodyear myself...but now snow again so review will have to wait ..*Sigh*

The Toyo T1R is the second car tire I have run on my Interstate. Tire pressure is real important. The Dunlop I tried first was at a lower air pressure and felt good. The Toyo T1R I have run at a consistent 40 psi and I have over 25k miles on it. I ride solo, two up loaded with luggage, and almost everyday ride to work.  Over 6000 miles to Sturgis 09 and back to NJ on vacation. Give the tire a chance, you will love it.

I only have about 50 on mine so far. I am pleased with it, but it is a little different at low speeds. Once you get used to it, I dont think you will want to go back.
I put on a Michelin XD4A 205/60/16 currently running 32 psi.

I took my little man for a ride to town for a ice cream come. When we arrived, and I was helping him get his helmet off he says " Dad as soon as I felt the breeze it just put a big smile on my face"  It makes me wonder if riding is a genetic thing. My Father always had bikes, and I spent many a mile on the back of his.

People that dont get it, always ask me why I ride, and my seven year old allready figured it out.

Hey Sharkey, great shot of the dark side tire, and you didn't die a flamming death.  I really enjoyed watching how that tire moves. I have 10 thousand miles on mine now, and love every mile. Thanks for sharing.

I gave the dark side a good try,(about 8k mi.) but I went back to a mc tire this spring.
I loved it out on the road, quiet and smooth, but on uneven surfaces and my gravel drive not so good!! 

We are going to have to get together soon for a ride.

I don't notice much difference in rpms, though I know it is higher.  Only about a 100 miles so far.  I did find I have a bit of tire rub two up.  Did the nut cage mod when I changed tire, but need to get the carriage bolt.  I'll see then if I need the washer mod.
So far I like it, but want to log a few hundred miles soon and keep checking it out.

Hobo I need to ride down your way soon.  I want to make that run while the dogwoods are in bloom.  We do need to get together.

The Toyo has been very good to me.  Have about 15K on it (would have been twice that but we have this 6 month winter problem).  It still looks new.  It will most likely be my next tire also, as my research hasn't found a better one (on paper).  Why mess with a good thing?

I personally wouldn't run it that low (32), it has a different side wall and bead than a Bike tire, i'd feel safer at 36 but i run mine at 40psi,
Your choice, ride safe ?!!!

I just got mine on a few days ago. I will try bumping it up 2 psi at a time until I find thet sweet spot.

I too run the Toyo and have about 10k on it now and still looks new. I run 36psi in mine and have not had any problems. I ran a cooper zeon (great tire) with 38 and above and wore the center out prematurely. I will return to the zeon  if this tire wears out someday, I just wish it came in a taller series.

How do you know the correct tire psi? I have a CT and have psi at 36. Feels fine to me alone and 2 up. Not sure what to look for if I bump up the psi.
