What I learned this week

Well First i want to say thanks to everybody who gave me the help and advice I needed to change the rear tire for myself and not let a dealer do it.  You guys (and Girls) are a wealth of knowledge.

Its only hard the first time.  Now with the new experience that I gained, it will be easier next time and each time after that.

Don't be afraid to ask for help.  Or directions for that matter. I know when I go somewhere I've never been before, I kind of just wing it hoping to find what I'm looking for. Don't get me wrong, I pre-plan it.
But never seem to stop and ask where am I when I'm lost( or not really lost but not sure of where I'm at).

Feels great to do it myself. Now I don't think I'm getting ripped off by paying $250+ in labor for tire changes( "well it took us 3.5-4 hrs to work on your bike. The nuts were hard to remove.." blah blah blah). Ok, it took me total 20 hrs over 4 days. but I didn't know what I was doing. What's their excuse?

Well, on to my next(maybe) project. Fork seals. Hmmm maybe change front tire.....

I am amazed with the mechanical/electrical abilities I've discoverd since owning motorcycles. I've attempted many things and haven't yet had to have the shop bail me out. Onward and upward...
