LOL - I missed those LED lights too! Now seeing the rear view, I like the bike even MORE! Those side covers are interesting. . . How did the radiator fliud over-flow fit? And, what did you do with the front cover? (right behind the engine?) Again, the 'cool points' on your creation is over the top my friend!

the front cover is removed, just left that open, I had to remove the overflow tank and install a different one beside the battery....

meancana

there ya go David, say thanks !!!!!! Nice ride last night !!

Sludge

Looks good.  I agree on the car tire and I think it needs a supercharger or some nitrous on it, or both to complete the look.

Can you tell us what you did to the fenders and rear fender rails....are they cut-down stock?  Awsome bike.....you're making me feel the need for another Valk.
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

The fenders are actually modified trailer fenders that you can buy at larger harware stores. I think they were $20 each or so... Chrome fender rails are removed, frame is stock.

Hey!!!!!   Great news, looks like my Valkyrie's going to be featured in Motorcycle Mojo magazine, look for it in the next couple of issues, 6 page spread with centrefold.

I was at at Atlanticade in St Stephen's New Brunswick and the president of the magazine spotted the bike, he came over and asked if I'd be willing to take it to a photo shoot for the mag, well, it's done and it should appear either in the next issue or the one following, I wasn't real clear on that part !!!

If you're not familiar with the magazine well here's the link....

:cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: Looks Great! Quality work! I like the attention to details to keep it street legal, although not practical (but it's not supposed to be). A Valk Barhopper! I'd have to keep my I/S parked next to it to ride the way I like to.

Congrats on the feature spread in the bike mag.  :)
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

Thought I would bring this back up to the top because the Valk is in the magazine now, check the link.

Quality of work looks excellent. Nice job. Just not my cup of tea.
If you like it that is what counts -- have fun.

Round tire -- round fender
Flat tire  --- flat fender  (as mentioned by others)

I'm just amazed by the censorship of the mods.  When this thread started, I remember reading comments made by those who didn't like the bike.  Seems they have disappeared to be replaced solely by those who did.  That's messed up.  As long as the comments were within the rules of the board, they should have been left up.  Almost 1/4 of the people who voted, 24.5%, didn't like it.

People are more passionately opposed to wearing fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than bikers.

Congrats on the rag spread.

Drag bike is not my cup of tea anymore, but that one does look great...

Ride safe, and don't bar hop too much, as a DUI on your record will trash your getting insurance again very cheaply.

Marty, I kind of think you might be outside the tank here.

Administration usually marks the ones it removes, again I might be wrong also.

However, if you notice over on the right side of "your" post you will see a DELETE.    All the poster has to do is change their mind and bink, it is gone.

So please don't do no blaming until you have solid evidence.   Otherwise it does not hold up in court and you get acquittal's.    NO guilty as charged.    Savy?

Hmm, since this is my bike I thought I'd weigh in, first off all I just want to say that I think it's kinda cool how this thread got ressurected, the magazine thing was definately not planned and I don't know anyone that works there personnally either so all of that was quite a surprise, my 15 minutes of fame perhaps ???  Anyway as far as moderators censoring negative comments, well, I have no idea whether that's going on or not but if it is it certainly isn't necessary, as I posted before, all comments are welcomed positive or negative.   The fact that most comments so far have been positive allthough 25% polled said that I should have left it alone only shows that this forum is made up of very classy individuals, like mom always said "if you have nothing good to say .............................." So thanks all for the nice words and happy riding to all.

meancana - I like what you did .... looks b*tchin'   :cooldude:  If you don't mind me saying, The one thing that came to mind right away was exhaust wrap on the black headers. I think it would really accent the large cans and give it that "old school" look !!

How did you do the side covers? Modify them or are they from
another bike?

They are from scratch.... shaped sheet metal !!

Very nice!  The side covers are my fav detail.  Demonstrates a lot of thought and it allows the frame to be seen.  Bad Ass

Really like the flat black exhaust.  What did you paint the header pipes with?  Technique used?  Mine are like yours in the before pics.  Kinda getting a bit golden.

Same bike? Looks like he took the advice of a car tire

. . . And he shortened the pipes, took off the luggage rack that really didn't follow the curve of the fender and painted the pumpkin black. Looks great!

The fender must float with the swing arm?
