I have just been offered a set of Deuce Kury risers model 1725 link here.

Will they fit on a standard without lengthening cables etc?  :-\

I have read the Tim Skelton article about risers and I know that standard deuce fit but do these. They are brand new and sealed and so I cannot unpack them to see if they will fit BUT they are the right price.  :cooldude:

If anyone has any definitive experience of these and can let me know that would be great.

I had to put longer cables on mine. If you decide to put longer cables add 2 inches to stock length. I got mine threw Motion Pro.

I had a set of deuce risers on my STD for a while, I just ran the cables behind the tripple clamp instead of in front and they worked fine, matter of choice and looks.

Colin,

I have HD-style 6.5" risers + VTX1800C bars on my bike.  I didn't have to go with longer cables because the bars have much less rise and pullback.  I suspect that, as the J&P risers I have, the Kury risers have 1/2" bolts.  They won't quite fit through the 12mm hole in the top bridge.  Some have drilled the hole to enlarge it, but I didn't want to do that.  I bought the Riser Mounting Kit - Honda from Baron Customizing instead.  It has 1/2" threads for the risers and 12mm threads for the Honda top bridge.  $19.95 list price.

I tried running mine behind the triple tree, but found on hard right hand turns they would bind up and kink. So I went with the longer cables.

Colin, I do not know for sure... never knew Kury even made them.  But they look very similar to the originals (and actually most of the J & P Cycles deuce risers we use are just knockoffs of actual Harley risers anyway) (HD=$100).

They came on my supervalked IS, which also came with all new braided stainless lines.... but I think if they require anything, it is just for the OE throttle cables to be rerouted inside the triple tree; and if that didn't work, just new throttle cables would be necessary.  I'm pretty sure no change in clutch or brake hydraulic lines is necessary.   I think Marty has the deuce risers on Sandman.

Remember, the circular tabs on the bottom of these risers must be cut off to use on Valk.

Thanks to everyone for the responses I think I will just bite the bullet and if I have problems get some longer cables. The pain is that stuff like that isn't readily available here and I would have to order them from the US or the UK.  :(
