clarion cb/intercom system repair

 I have a clarion,Honda line cb/intercom system, in need of repair or I need to know where I can get the female part of the head set plug. I live in North Carolina. Any Help Is Well come.TIA. Danny. ( I am going to try Radio Shack )

Try eBay. Look for a junked I/S and snag one from the wiring harness.

I think he's talking about the system Honda sold for the Standard/Tourer, John (see his profile picture).  Is it piece #11 or #12 in the fiche below?  Is it the same piece where it plugs into the radio unit as the I/S shown below?  I was thinking the Std./Tour pigtail ran all the way under the seat straight to the radio unit, and the I/S pigtail just runs into the bike's harness.  However, I admit I'm not sure how the Std./Tour unit is built.

You are correct - but alas, one cannot source the Std/Tourer part separately. Radio Shack does not offer a waterproof version of a 5-pin female DIN and last I looked, neither did Digikey or Mouser. Thus, one is going to have to modify an available I/S sub-harness to get themselves a working connector/lead assembly...unless another source can be found.

Electrical Connection, Vintage Connections and a couple other places sell Hitachi connectors in the pin arrangement that is used by the I/S' lead. What I would do in this situation is to get the I/S part then snip the faulty DIN connector (along with a bit of the cable) off the accessory CB unit's headset lead. Then install a mating 6-pin Hitachi female connector onto the lead and plug in the I/S part.

Thanks for the replies. looks like it could be the din on ether #11 or12, thanks for the help. If I can't find just the din and solder it on after the break in the wiring. I may have to see if I can get that peace and reomve the din, the end I need has the female  side of the din.Thanks again.
