Calling yourself a Christian and being a Christian are two different things.  I can't remember who said it first but I understand the sentiment behind this quote, "The last Christian died on the cross."

Christians don't have the market cornered in this regard.  Buddhists in Tibet are under constant threat by the Chinese.  Thousands have died.  Maybe hundreds of thousands in the last 40 years.  How many Jews have been killed and persecuted for their way of life?  Muslim families were executed by their "Christian" neighbors in Bosnia.  In this country, thousands upon thousands of native American heathens were killed by disease and bloodshed in an attempt to convert them or dominate them.  You'd think we would have learned by now to pull together and defend each other, especially in religious circles.  But humans never seem to grow up.
