From Associated Press:

WASHINGTON – Joe Biden said Thursday he advised his family to stay off airplanes and subways because of the new swine flu, a remark that forced the vice president's office to backtrack and prompted one airline official to complain about "fear-mongering."

Within two hours, Biden's office issued a statement backing off the remarks and suggesting he was talking about travel to Mexico.

The Vice President thinks there's a subway to Mexico?  I guess AP missed that.

Has Joe Biden ever said anything intelligent?    :)

yes, when he said he would not make a good VP, that Hillary would have been a better choice.  And in my book thats not saying much but true none the less.

Has anything came out of the White House in the past 100 days that was worth a sheet?

I know, I said I'd never get into a Politics thread, so look for no more comments on this one from me.

More a criticism of the press.
Had those words had come out of GW Bush's mouth,  DNC's propaganda machine would have had a field day.

Who knows, maybe, it´s true....wouldn´t be a (secret) subway to Mexico a good explanation for some of the US problems.... :)

That is the smartest thing he has said since he got in office. The next thing he sould have said is we are closing the boarder. Course two smart things in one day may be a streach for the VP. : ???
