GPS, Sat Radio, and Heated Gear...

What is the best way to power this stuff up on my 2000 Interstate?  On my 98 Magna, I had all three hard wired directly to the battery. It looks pretty tight under that stereo and plastic cover. Thanks for the help...

There's a tool tray under that radio and behind the battery that holds the user's manual and the tool kit. I keep the tools (along with a bag of wrenches, sockets, drivers and electrical stuff) in the right saddlebag with the Clymer shop guide and owner's manual. 

I built a small plywood board with a fuse box and 2 cig lighters for the tray (IPod, GPS and occasional phone charging), and there's still lots of room left for relays and stuff.

You can still hardwire these items to the battery. Feed the cables down and roll them up inside the right side cover for easy access.

If you go to the old tech archive or search on this board there are lots of old posts on adding accessory panels for electrical add-ons along with discussion on the pros and cons of wiring things direct to battery versus a keyed power source. 

There are also a few sites etc. that offer some suggestions and instruction on how to install added circuits as well as suppliers of hardware etc.
