Uniquely Your Own

One of the coolest posts that I've read in a little while was "Uniquely Your Own."  It deserves to find a revisit and a home on the new board IMHO.
So, I'll repeat the question, "What makes your Valk uniquely your own?"

Burgandy Wing Tail Light Cover
Leather seat covers
JC Whitney passenger Floor Borads
2 dents in the tank (not a good thing, but unique)

mine is the paint, its dragonfire red with the late 60s chevy racing stripe. and i did it myself  ;D and the custom luggage rack i made from an interstate trunk mount

Highbinder

Seeing to how I started this post, I'll add another bike....this is the bike we refer to as the Ghost Bike...because in that black paint is a very deep flame pattern that can only be seen when the light hits it right...I remember when Joe saw it he asked me when I did that and I told him I've been riding with you two years and you just noticed it... ;D not only does that make it unique but it has stainless steel tranny covers that I  personally have never seen on another bike...so it's uniquely mine.. ::)

RDKLL

I got this from Waynes World and have not seen too many. I also have the matching item for the backrest insert.
This is not my Valk, but the best pic I could find

Joe Hummer

Not so much that it makes it my own...but it makes it an honor to own it...

Here is the story:

and what I have done to make it special:

Then:

You pay for the whole bike, why not use it Jerry Motorman Palladino

Michvalk

Bought mine as a salvage title. Needed to do a lot of work to bring it up to my standards and am happy with the result. The most unique thing about "Dusty" is that he's MINE ;D ;D

He is named MGM, Mean Green Machine.

This tells it all and the following proves he is a boy.

I have not done too many things to my 2000 std, but the red brake lines I have not seen on another Valkyrie.  I am going to guess most do not like the look, thus..... uniquely my own!

Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane.

Strider

Oh, I don't know.......

Maybe the side covers that the deal was made in the chat room one night.....(between Psychotic Bovine and Mad6guns).

Not the same color red as Traveler and had Dragons on them - that I will never take off.  I like the way they look and it makes it "my own".  Plus, it was the way the deal went down in the VRCC chat room one evening......(between three guys who became friends later on).  I mean, I asked about side covers (because the original owner had put a cigarette lighter in one and COULDN'T find it while riding I guess - buncha burn marks) and the next thing you know, 5 minutes later, I had the side covers that I presently have.  The guys involved and their Dad have become very special since then to me......  That is a fond memory of Traveler for me......

You gotta hate this club!

Black Dog

For my bike, it's gotta be the 'Dragon Wings', the floor boards I made years ago...

Or, the fact that she started out as a '97 Standard, and has evolved in to an 'Intertour'  :o

My wife installed these nifty vinyl decals for me. One on either side of the headlight, down low out of the way.
They are a frosted color to make it look like the windshield is etched. One is a decepticon emblem (pictured) the other is the cobra emblem.
They show up well in real life, but are tricky to photograph because you have to have a farily solid background behind them.

Really Can't think of anything on this one! :2funny:  :D  :2funny:

Don't Plan to Cross the finish line in a well preserved package.  Already got a good start!

I thought you were going to build a "custom"  trike ???   :2funny:   :2funny: :D
I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I've installed or created many different unique mods to my Interstate/Tourer conversion. The standouts are the paint scheme, self-crafted gauge, CB patch cord & GPS brackets, Headlight indicator lights now LED's mounted in 40cal. nickel shell casings mounted in a cast revolver styled mount, the fairing and swept windscreen, the heavily modified billet marine stereo cover. And, many other nuances here & there.
Sad to say there are 2 HD parts installed. But I found them necessary & likable. The chrome fairing trim & vent wings.

Oh, and I modified the Rivco adjustable passenger mounts to accept Kuryakyn boards in place of the Emgo's that came with the Rivco mounts.

:cooldude: Don't know what happened ? Thought I posted here but guess I missed it.  :tickedoff:
Anyhow, I have had the 6 caddy lights on the rear of my Interstate since 2000. I have changed out the Hondaline clear fork deflectors to Stainless. and Most of the other chrome stuff is off the shelve that most everyone else has. Plus pinstriped at the very first Inzane by Mountain Man. Black Dog I still dig those Batwings. I think I just might have to make a set one of these days.

Flask

Made my own side covers out of aluminum plate and had painted two tone to match the bike along with two toning the existing solid color plastic side covers.

Other side

Made front deflectors out of aluminum plate and had painted also.

F-106

For me i guess it would be the custom built set of saddlebags. With 52 liters of space in each bag they are big. Matching ultimate low boy seat reshaped and cover to match bags. Other items are

Interstate tank
Breakaway throttle lock
J&M 2003 handlebar CB unit
Clearview windshield
Baker airwings

F-106

THOSE CAME OUT COOL. GOOD IDEA :cooldude: :cooldude:

Corbin Fairing and HD Beer can oil filter. I put the the stock headlight back on. I love being parked in a line of HDs and people check out mine trying to figure out what that monster is.  :coolsmiley:

?Custom made triple trees, fork tubes from billet, 14 inch brake rotors front and rear, LED tail lights and blinkers, blinkers in the handlebars, custom made 1 1/4 inch polished SS handlebars, bunch of SS that isnt on it in the pics because those pictures are from when I brought her home. But she is ALL mine. no denying it.  :D

You going to Blue/Grey? I'd love to see your ride. :cooldude:

Dogg

yeah, Im going up wednesday night to spend thursday with the wife casual. then take pics on friday as peeps show up.:D

Wetrudgeon

Big Mama has mostly standard bolt on's.  But the saddle is one off.  The paint is similar in patter to one of the more rare factory schemes (350 units in 2001), but the colors are custom (stormy blue mica w/pure white stripe overshot with blue pearl).  These make her unique.

We trudge on.

Added break/park lights on each side of the saddle bag on the bag rails. the lights mounted about the license plate are for emergency/hazard or parade use as well as the lights on the bag rails. The blue light picts are what my bike looks like at night. The pictures doesn't do it justice.
On the handle bars is a JM 2003 CB, Gps mount, butler cup, MP3 mount and cell phone holder.
The engine is chromed to the T.

I added the harley fairing and windshield, that would make it my own. Not my ideal, i have to say i copied it from others. They are some smart Valkyrie riders on this board.
I just wanna Ride............:)  And hang out with all the cool Kids riding Motorcycles.

I was wondering the same thing...but also if you could get clear lenses.

Well I guess my bike is the only LEFT HANDED one I have seen :crazy2: Iam still learing how to ride it                        Bandit DS#ooo11

Hey Bandit, pop a picture up here of your left handle bar.

I'd say 90% of the members have never had a good look at it and how you have it set up.......

I think it was in KY the 1st time I really looked it over.

It still amazes me to see you ride that Phat Lady one handed...

I still have memories of Inzane something or other watching you compete in the games left handed. Definately post a pic for those that haven't seen your odd handlebar.

I made a custom key when I first got the Valk. Used the end off of a progrip from my xs11 to provide the plastic chromed skull.
Never had a good shot of it before. Thought I would share.
