I have been working on turning my 2000 Valk Tourer into the bike of my dreams. Or I should say, MORE into the bike of my dreams. I had always wanted a Valk and got one a couple years ago, but had also wanted to have a custom painted bike as well. So, thanks to a local hot rod customizer (for the paint) and a very understanding wife, who never batted an eye when yet ANOTHER package showed up at the front door full of add-ons and parts.... I now present.....El Diablo

The bike when I first purchased her:

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Love the paint job and the striping. Now it's uniquely your own, just as you wanted it.

As for the packages at the front door...every time the doorbell rings and she sees it's UPS or FedEx, she starts singing "Happy Days Are Here Again" and knows thats the last she'll see of me for a few hours. I wonder though....does she sing that as a joke because it's more parts, or because she knows I'll be out of her hair for a few hours. Hmmmm....

Black Pearl's Captain

Very nice! I like that color and the shape of the paint on the side of the tank. You've got a bike that will ride the road and win the shows. You need to enter it in a bike show soon.

Couldn't have turned out better... one of the best custom paint jobs I have seen on a Valk. Not over the top... looks really good! Can tell it was a hot rod painter that did it... has that Southern California hot rod feel to it in my opinion.

But...

You would have thought that you would have given a sneak preview to your own BROTHER...before its public debut. Well I know where I rate.

But as your brother I can only want to help you... so a gift to you... I took the devil head there and made it into an avatar image for you...

Do with it what you will...

Wow Pete, I sent you the pics of the bike before it went together. Now you break my coconuts over this post.

and enjoy. Nice simple clean custom paint job. Not overly flashy. But stunning.
Dangling keyring that matches the design is a nice detail.

I'm staring at this picture thinking...he wanted to turn this into the bike of his dreams, all I saw was a stock Valkyrie, with Kury Pegs? Ahhhhhhh, Then I scrolled down and realized there was more... Great job bringing this Valkyrie back to life!!! That's a beautiful one of kind now that you can be proud of, a real head turner  :cooldude:

What a sweet ride!  I know some of the problems and the many decisions that you had to make.  I tricked out an old Kawasaki and painted it myself.  I just can't stay off the Valk long enough to do anything to it except add a little "safety chrome".  That bike of yours is knock-em-dead gorgeous....JTL   :cooldude:

Tom,

Here are the light pics you asked about. They are mini halogens from JC Whitney as both front and rear turnsignals and as add-on brake lights, added to the bag rail. I ran the wires inside the pipes of the bag rail and up through the rear light housing and then tapped into rear brakelight wires.
