Haven't figured out how to post a picture here....yet.  I have an oily looking puddle (very small) that looks to be coming out of the middle right side intake.  Maybe a bad gasket?  Pooled up right on top of the head.  Thoughts...Thanks, Steve

Oh Yeah.  The bike hasn't gotten a lot of time on it in the last 18 months while I was deployed.  98 Standard with 30k.

Probably the O-rings under the intakes.  I am in the process of changing mine out.  I had an oily looking goo building up on two of my intakes.  It is a cheap and easy repair.

To post a picture, first you need to put the pic on the internet.
I use http://vrcc.photostash.com/

Once you do that you will have a ULR for the photo.

Now Click on the picture ICON above....second from the left....you'll get something like this (img)(/img), but with [img] instead of (img)

Now put the URL in the middle (img)http://vrcc.photostash.com/vrcc_26196/orings.jpg(/img)

Hope this helps, I'm on a very boring conference call...so I had some time to kill.

Thanks guys, I was hoping the gasket was the answer.  I saw them on eBay and a couple of places on the web.  Next will be to catch a wrench party and do everything else that needs doing.

Spent a couple of hours last night putting on new intake gaskets, changing the oil, and antifreeze.  Worked out great.  Thanks for the info you all provide here.

Soooo...how hard is it to put in I/S carb springs?
