Don ( Popcorn ) called me and ask that I post on the board to y'all that he will NOT be in Tucumcari. His bike broke and is now on a U-Haul headed back to Alabama.It was " drive-train " trouble but he did'nt know what let go  ???
Seems we are having a rash of Valkyries biting the bullet lately  :(  The ol'girl is gettin' old but I still love her :)  11 years next month .



I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Not to downplay Popcorn but a driveshaft, pinion cup, a Ujoint, wheel bearings and tire valve stems are easy parts to carry on a LONG trip and that will cover 90% of all Valk highway breakdowns. Any shop could change the above out in a few hours too. On the really long trips I throw in an alternator and that does cover it all (not really but very close).

I'll be sure they know when I get there tomorrow about Popcorn.

You forgot the starter switch.  Last I heard it was still the most likely part to fail on a Valk.  Wizard's quit yesterday.  Thanks to friends in the VRCC, it is repaired now, right here in Tucumcari!
