You put a bunch of men, motorcycles, and tools all in one place?   A great day of wrenching  :cooldude:, some lie telling  :o , some education  ??? , and a whole lotta fun!! :2funny: We had a great day at Joe's Valkyrie Garage, we even let him keep a few Studebaker  :-X parts around just to keep him happy! :-\ We had a great turn out and a great time. Jessi   served a great chili and the weather cooperated pretty well as well.  :). I made it home about 20:30 with only one minor forest rat encounter,  :o luckily they just stood by the roads edge as I and opposing traffic sailed by, whew  a little too close for my liking.   :tickedoff: A little over 300 miles for the day  :cooldude: and a lot of cool fresh air,  ;D which I needed.

This was the place to be.... :cooldude:

I get great mileage with this bike....

Lots going on.... :uglystupid2:

Guys I really think a car tire is the answer......

Everyone was working hard, well almost..... :2funny:

If we take the front tire off is it not a Valkyrie unicycle..... :2funny:

Till the next one...

I must say we have a wonderful group of valkyrie riders in Kansas.  Everyone was able to get there bikes worked on and were able to work on their own bike with assistance from many.  It was a blessing to have had Jim "Pharmboy" come up from Lawton, Ok to assist and even bring up some tools.

I think everyone was able to get done what they wanted to and some left with things they want to do next time.  So it was a good turn out and had great fellowship and met a new member from Iola (Gary Coletrane), awesome awesome guy.  I ended up having a couple guys stay with us saturday night.  Gary stayed due to the sun going down and no sense in riding in the dark if you don't need to.  Rob stayed due to finding an o-ring leaking on his fuel rail and no store was open to get one and so he crashed at the house too.

Jason-O's bike isn't done but it was the most extensive.  I had to pull the motor out to replace the starter cog due to it missing a tooth.  It is quite the operation but now that I have both sockets to complete the task it should be a quick fix and should have it done soon.

Here are a few pics that Pharmboy took while here...

You can never have too many bikes at your house.

Jason-O's bike in the process of pulling out the motor.

Getting closer to dropping the engine.

Some of the parts that were removed.. I thought about listing them on ebay... he would never know... right??

Alright it's out.. now to get it out of there... piece of cake with some help from Jason.

Hey look it's an engine on a table!!!  I wonder if it would fit in my civic and if Jason would miss it??

You know a valk is pretty light without the engine and final drive in it!!!

Here is the reason for the removal of the engine... see the tooth missing??

I thought about hopping on my bike and leaving at this point... Only a few could have followed me  :2funny:

Pharmboy helped and brought up some tools:

It was a great time and I think we will do this again in the spring for those who didn't make it this time and some seen things done that they want to do so that should be fun as well..

I will post more pics later..

Thanks, Joe, for hosting this event.  I had a great time the couple of hours I was able to be there.

It was good seeing old friends and being able to watch all that quality work going on.  Jessie's chili was excellent and it was a special and unexpected treat to see Jim there.

Looking forward to a Springtime repeat.   :cooldude:
