09 HD front tires. ATTN HD owners

Don't be player hating here, but does anybody know much about the front tires on the new HD's? They have a uniqe tread pattern. They are either 'HD' or dunflops. How do you like them? Thinking about trying 1 this summer, if the price is good.

  They are new for the 09 models. Dunlop redid
them and they are supposed to last longer
front and rear of the touring bikes.
  I only got about 8500 on the rear
of my 07 Street Glide.

Have you tried this tire then? What do you think about it? All my HD buds have older bikes and use off brand tires.

Feedback from 1 owner thus far:

Bike has 10k on it; OEM tire still fitted. Lots of tread left, and his previous bike - an '06 Road King - would go through the older model OEM tires in under 10k.

I'll talk to the other folks and see what their experiences are.

well i dont know about yours but mine weighs 800lbs. per DOT scales and 1100 with my fat butt on it.
i wasnt knocking the harleys.................but you surly dont want a tire that is rated for less than what the bike weighs

Dunlop doesn't list a D407 in 150-80/17 size, and the max load rating for any of the 407-series tires is 67H. By contrast, the both the Elite 3 and the OEM D206R have a rating of 72H.
