Murph's Kits electronic cruise

Has anyone tried the "clone" of the Audiovox CCS100 cruise control that Murph's kits is selling? 

I have a severely seperated shoulder that cannot be repaired and it gets pretty sore on longer rides.  I don't want to do a throttle lock, so I have done a little reading and it looks like the Audiovox cruise would be the clear ticket.  I know they are not made anymore, but Murph's has come out with a clone kit.  Here's a link to the web page:  http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=422

I also don't think I am skilled enough to do the job myself, so if anyone knows of a guy in the Minnesota area that has done one or could do one, let me know.

I installed the original Audiovox ccs-100 and it worked well for about three years, then would not engage or when it did, would not remain engaged.  I replaced it with the clone last year and it seems to work a little better than the original.  Wiring is exactly the same, but you need to use the installation instructions from Audiovox since the clone did not come with any.  I have no complaints at all with this one so far..

Thanks for the replies, guys.  I think that's the way I want to go.  Hopefully, someone in Minnesota will see this post and know someone who's familiar with this job.  T.P. (the Minnesota State Rep) is trying to think of someone he knows who could do it.  

Since there is NO SNOW up here this year, I'm not busy snowmobiling, so I'm thinking motorcycling!

Lots of the old cruise set ups in use, and no reason the "clone" won't work just as well. However, I think the ROSTRA set ups would be much easier to install, no vacuum to worry about, take up less room and actually work better..IMHO

I purchased one from Murphs Kits, to replace the one that failed   Sad  .

Their CC is EXACTLY like the original.  cooldude .  Follow any of the recommended installation posts available in shop talk and everything will work fine.

My new one from Murphs works perfectly.
