Saddle Bag rails

I just got a killer deal on some saddle bag rails on ebay. I paid $125 with shipping. He says they are basically brand new, I can't wait to put them on. In his description he says that it doesn't include the mounting hardware or instructions. I was just wondering if this was a pretty easy install and also what if any mounting hardware am I going to have to buy.

The seller says they are jc whitney rails... i am having a hard time finding them online. Here is the craigslist ad....

I'd say Good Luck on finding the mounting hardware by itself.

Are you any good at making things?     Ya might have to make some pieces and then have them chromed once they are correctly cut and bent.

I believe those rails are made by M/C Enterprises. I have the same set on my tourer. I'll have to check when I get home but I believe that's the company. Not as sturdy as OEM but not near as expensive either. They do look nice though.

i have a brand new st of those(without the mounting clamps) i just put outside. i'd give it to anyone who will pick them up. it's a pain in the butt to ship something that size.

Jmann- were they easy to install? Did you have to buy/make mounting hardware?

They were very easy to install. It looks as though you are missing the brackets that tie into the front section of the saddlebag bar. You might contact M/C enterprises and tell them what you have and see if they would sell you the mounting hardware. The back just connects to the upper rear saddlebag supports. Just need longer bolts and a couple nuts. The picture on their site when you try to pull up your rails is not representative of what you have in your hand. Their disclaimer states as such. I would suggest a call to a live body at their place to seek assistance and or parts.
