Kuryakyn highway peg's.

I've seen a lot of kuryakyn highway peg's on the engine guard on the valk's.

Any suggestions on the best one for a 6 ft rider.

Good luck buying from Kuryakyn. Everything I've bought from them has been crap. I bought the deep dish bezel turn signals and the lens caps all broke and came apart. The Ellipse mirrors both have developed spots in the glass that can't be removed. Appears to be coming from behind the glass. Also the chrome on the mirrors is terrible. My 2 cents!!

I have had nothing but the best of luck with Kuryakn products.  Been using their stuff for eleven years now on several different bikes. I am currently running their highway boards and they are the most comfortable option I have found. Had a pair just like them on my 2002 Goldwing. I am 6' and 185 lbs.

Get the long horns with the dually pegs and the 1 1/8" clamps so they will fit on the round portion of the crash bar.....youll live them

I've had 2 pair of the Kury pegs and the bullet turn signals. The chrome started to go bad after just a coupla yrs. I won't buy their products anymore. Quality has definitely deteriorated.

I put a set of the wide levers on my '96 Shadow and the chrome started to flake off after just over a year.  I stopped at the Kury tent in Sturgis when I was there in '09 and they gave me another set no charge.  Those are starting to flake too.

When I bought my IS, it had Kury highway pegs on it, and the chrome on them is starting to flake and peel too.

I have the Kuries, and love them. But if the chrome or rubber start to peel, I think I'll put out the cash for Mic-o-pegs. The folks in my GWRRA group swear by them.

Two sets of Kury ISO pegs mounted to the 1" horizontal bar............Straddle either set for a floor board effect, Very handy on longer rides being able to vary foot positions.    Idea borrowed from Rattlebars site. Thanx.  (no chrome issues here)

Afa I'm concerned, that design is a POS.  If you accidentally overtighten one of the mounting bolts you'll break the ear off the cast part the bolt screws in.  I'd much rather deal with the clamps on the engine guard.

Kury has the same problem Cobra does.  If the underlying metal is steel the chrome is good.  If it is aluminum, the chrome is going to bubble and flake because neither manufacturer properly chromes.  They put a layer of chrome on the aluminum instead of chroming properly with copper and nickel coats under the chrome.  They both used to be good names now they're gaining reps for cheap crap.

The clamp is stainless steel, does go on the engine guard, and much stronger than an ordinary quick clamp.  Never heard of one breaking.

I was disappointed in a set of Kurys I got with a recent purchase too. I remember them being better years back. Perhaps they're starting to try to squeeze out more profit with cheaper production these days. Happens a lot to companies that grow big.

Just received a cheap pair of Emgo pegs to put on my new forward controls. They are nice and heavy (steel I'd guess) and appear to be chromed as well as the big name stuff. If they start to rust in a few years I can replace them with a new set and I'll still have spent less than some of the bigger name brands.

FYI - the Mick O pegs I mentioned above have been sold. They are pretty cool but not a good fit for me.

Laugh it up boys................, I originally only had the front set and found that my heels hung down and my toes faced into the wind and caught more air at speed further forcing my heels down even more.  It was a constant struggle to remain comfortable and to keep from toasting the insides of my legs on the valve covers, I would forever be switching back and forth between them and the stock position ............ Now with the current combo I ride predominately with my heel and toe on the front two pegs in a floorbord style position and can ride all day long in comfort,  moving only my heel back to brake when necessary and no more toasty legs. Because I also have this little unit, to do the shifting, I never have to move my left foot back ever, in fact, I don't recall using the shifter since I installed it. not even to find neutral (the single biggest gripe I have with the Valk is the positioning of the rider controls, at 6' and a 32" inseam it is just not a comfortable position for me)

They mount on the mounting bar for the engine guard and I had both of mine break and they were cast aluminum.
