Do you know of any other incidents with Can Ams?

WOW! Bummer. First I ever saw. I've never heard anything but good about Can Am products. Sure would be interested in finding out what caused that. Thanks for the post :cooldude:

I'll put $5 on the Bay nag in the 5th race.       Gas leak onto a hot exhaust.  Seen that hap[pen more than once, but not on a Can Am.

Saw a Boss Hoss go up in flames in Daytona one year.

Yeah, it was a leaking gas line, but my insurance covered it for $900 more than I paid for it.

You don't think the fact that they run car tires had anything to do with it? :D

there it is, all the proof you need that if you run a car tire your bike will go up in flames :2funny:

there has been a few that caught fire....over fill the tank and it will happen....but not sure what exactly causes the Spyder to ignite.

It does get hot in and around the motor area but damn, that there is scary crap!

Just be sure yours has the vent hose extension installed from the charcoal cannister, I prefer  to run it all the way to the rear swingarm opposite of the exhaust.
