Disconnect emergency shut off

I wish to disconnect the red switch.  Can I accomplish this by just clipping the wires to the switch?  Do I need to connect the 2 wires together or leave them separate?  Hoser  ???

i use mine to control a relay for my spot lights. i had no use for the kill switch and never used it.

Kit and I was at a stop light yesterday. I was along her right side and I almost reached over and flipped her kill switch.

I've been a victim of that a couple times,  I just give them the finger and wait for my chance to do it to them. And no, I don't check it every time I get on it, ain't that big a deal.  Don't always turn my gas on when I get on, but I do shut it off every time I get off.  Hoser

i disconected mine cause it was screwing up causing  the bike to shut down. it had left me stranded once. yes you cut the wires  in the switch and solder and heat shrink the joint.(there isnt any room for a butt conector)

I asked why you wanted to do this and you said too many jokers flip your engine switch off.  If you need to take that extreme a measure for something so insignificant then your mind is somewhere else other than riding. 

Let's take a look at something else.  If you have an accident that is deemed to be your fault and your insurance company discovers you disconnected a manufacturer's installed safety device, do you think they will pay or deny your claim?  Also, you probably get sued and lose based on your indifference to others because you disconnected a safety device.  If it's causing you problems, replace it and take the light load off it.

I've got a buddy that races AMA Pro for Vesrah Suzuki.  When he was a rookie in practice runs, he said it was common to be screaming down the track and have another rider zip by, reach over and hit his kill switch... or even tug at this sleeve or pants leg as he went by.  Sheesh!

Combine multiple tips here and also put the side stand down.
That'll take care of the engine and maybe even tip you over for good measure.

If you flip the engine stop switch off on a runaway engine, it kills the power to the ignition system, in effect turning off the engine.

There is also the slim possibility of getting pinned under a running bike with gas leaking out the fill hole (or elsewhere).  Here, a kill switch could be a good thing, esp with a damaged body or key underneath the bike, and a defective tip over switch.

A "runaway engine" is not likely with the rev-limiter on the Valkyrie.

Don't see the motor keep running since the tip-over switch will kill the motor.

I walk along side my bike when I'm putting it up on the lift table and I use the engine to help it up the ramp.  Once the front wheel hits the chock, I use the switch to kill the engine while holding the front brake, then let out the clutch to keep it from rolling back.
