Good Stuff. We need a total change. The people need to be more aware , involved, active etc. If they only knew all the stuff that was happening.....
.....say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you."

excellent commentary by the Congressman. It will be interesting to see if any ill comes to him and his career over this letter.
Sadly, I am of the opinion that far too few Americans know or understand what is happening to this country.
I have serious concern that we can turn back from the direction we have been pointed in.
It is time to get involved at every level and elect people who listen.
take personal responsibility and keep your word

As long as they get their daily doses of cheap beer and American Idol, why should they care?

That right there is exactly why we have what we have...and 'who' we have.

This coming reality is what I was referring to the other day when I said.......is it time, when will be the time,  how will we know the time that "they" must go and will we as a country stand up?

I am still happy and proud this Independence day to be an American!  To live in the greatest country on the planet, and to have a life that is blessed beyond measure.......I hope every American recognizes these great gifts we have and is ready to defend them for the next generation.

God Bless all of you and instead of God bless America how about America bless God for a change......

Thank you for this Post, and God Bless State Representative Samuel E. Rohrer for having the courage to speak  out  and tell the truth about this would be Dictator that we have elected to be President. I have little hope that Obama will heed the appeal made to him in this letter, but I do hope that those Americans who read this letter will open their eyes to what is happening to Our Nation, if they have not already done so. We are in Crisis for the survival of our Freedom, yet far to many Good Folks are asleep at the wheel.

And keep an eye out for those Black Helicopters!     :cooldude:

Crappola wrapped in a flag is still crappola.  Besides being completely distorted, it borders on sedition. But,as has been proven over and over, the facts don't matter to some people. There will always be the fringe out there, it's just unfortunate they feel they have to spread it here.
Reality - it's nice here, come visit sometime!

6shutr

Scanner if you don't mind, please share with us what you think is not factual, or what is crapola wrapped in a flag, and if you would, please define for us what you consider fringe. Resorting to name calling is the calling card of what I consider to be the fringe left, they do it over and over again, precisely because generally they are short on facts, or even good opinion, and Sedition is exactly what the Representative is talking about in his letter. It's a fair letter, it is all about exactly what is happening with the Obama Administration, and all the name calling in the world isn't going to change it. If you have a lucid view, please share it with us, I for one would like to consider it.

6shutr

Scanner

First , it's not name calling to call crappola crappola. That's what it is and calling those who believe it the fringe is not name calling - the president has a 63% approval rating and only 22% disapproval. So don't try the name calling thing - it is what it is.

Where to start...how about the letter blaming Obama for the Financial Bailout, the car company bailout, Government intruding in healthcare? Sorry, but the facts are the bailouts were Bushes doing. Occured months before Obama took office, and have you heard of Medicare or Medicaid?  Would you call those Government intrusions in healthcare?

It all comes down to the fringe not getting there way - they lost big time.  And so they continue to whine, threaten revolution, and secede.  If they were truly concerned with loss of freedoms where were they during the last 8 years and it's unprecedented rape of the constitution?

Reality - it's nice here, come visit sometime!

6shutr

Well that was certainly not what I would call a lucid view, and your response made my point. You and the rest of the Bush Haters are wearing a little thin on those of us who understand and revere the Wisdom of our Founding Fathers, and appreciate Patriots like President Bush, and others who understand the importance of Feedom. Would be Dictators like Obama may well understand it, but their lust for power trumps their ability to do what is morally right for the American Public that they were elected to serve. I believe that Mr. Obama thinks that he was elected to be served by the American Public, and that is how he has been conducting himself since taking office. That attitude and his deeds to date is what concerns those of us who are actually paying attention to what is happening under his Presidency. The State Congressman expressed it exquisitely.

6shutr

Scanner

lmao...nice rebuttal...(not so much).

You confirm my points - facts mean nothing to some people when it contradicts what they've been told to believe.

Don't give it up though, it's good for laugh.

I hate to "Burst Your Bubble" but George Bush is no longer the President.

So, if this is still going on then it must mean that Mr. Obama has sactioned it.

and the problem isn't what happened in October 2001.

The problem is what's happening here and now.

And the people who think that the Government and those who run it are our "Saviors".

Mr Bubble Buster, it went on for 7 years under Bush. You posted the Franklin quote and I gave u an example. Dodge it anyway u choose. And no it's not going on anymore because Bush Cheney are out of office and we've returned to the constitution and rule of law.

Your guys keep talking saviors and such....must be a Rush line of BS he came up with on an Oxycontin binge, never heard it from Reality Based Americans.

As far as "Trust us we're from the Goverment and we're here to help".....

1) Hurricane Katrina and the drowning of New Orleans
2) Patient neglect at Walter Reed Army Hospital
3) Terri Schiavo and the attempted trashing of family privacy rights
4) Privatization of Social Security
5) Military disability ratings (another story of how Bush really supports the troops)
6) SCHIP (children's healthcare less important than insurance company profits)

The list goes on and on and on.....

I kinda agree with Scanner on the blaming Obama for the failed banks & auto industry, and everything else, it's just like blaming Bush for 9-11.

The fact is, Bush made the wrong decisions on retaliation for 9-11, (what he should have done was call for new technology to get us off of Saudi oil, the best way to destroy your enemy is to hit 'em in the pocket book.)

My fear is that Obama is going to make the same hasty decisions that are only going to cost us more in the future to solve our current problems.

If you're not going to do the job right, don't do it at all!

Imagine, if George Bush would have called for us to be off of Saudi oil in ten years, and made a speech like JFK did that got us to the moon, where would we be now?

The  750 billion financial bailouts were in September - before Obama won the election. I don't think Bush took orders from him.

3fan, not that facts would make any difference to kool aid drinkers, but no illegal wire taps were authorized by Bush. I'm not sure of the particular instance that Scanner is refering to, but those warrants come from the FISA Court, which was established in 1978 for special  kinds of issues. The Court is Legal, the Warrants are Required, and The Court handles them.

You still don't get it. You approach everything as a us (60 percent approval rating) and them(everyone else). Yes I/we lost. but we didn't have much to choose from anyway. I for one haven't danced in the streets for any President. We have every right to question what our President does and the direction he wants us to follow. I just wish that you and your 60 percent would respond to  the rest of us with positive solutions to our concerns rather than slinging mud on Bush and anyone else who doesn't want to fall in line with you and the truly enlightened 60 percent. And yes it is name calling. So we don't agree on everything.

Just giving examples of the points you keep trying to make. But you continue to avoid it and just keep spilling the right wing talking points. Let's see some facts about Obama instead of opinions. He's been in office six months while Bush had 8 years to tear this country down. It's gonna take some doing to repair that damage. So yeah, Bush Cheney is entirely relevant, though that is being avoided like the plague by the right wingers also.

I'm waiting for some facts and not opinions....

And about the wiretaps....you are completely wrong.  FISA was bypassed - that's why they were warrantless and unconstitutional.  They went that way because it would prove difficult to get warrants on the entire US population

You're a hoot, a pain in the ass, but a hoot just the same. Where would posts like this be without your insight, your personal connections to all the political intrigue of the past eight years. I,m just happy to know that you have the spare time grace us with all your knowledge. I,m sure most of the news organizations must pester you endlessly trying to confirm the facts of their stories before broadcasting. Do you have any understanding WHY the stimulus package was put in place?  Do you know it is not enough?  Would you rather that the government did nothing and plunge this country into a decade long recession?  Do you know international trade is off more than 30 percent?  Are you aware that the American unemployment rate is above 10 percent and climbing?  Would you do nothing like the GOP Republiclowns in Congress?  Have YOU drunk Rush's kool-aid?
